Most Expensive Secret Bases That Officially Don’t Exist

Depending on when and where you heard about Area 51, you might have been led to believe in the secret storage of alien ships and even extraterrestrial lifeforms somewhere in the western deserts. But while Area 51 became a famous secret base and one among the Most Expensive Secret Bases ever, many are far less known but kept under the guard of just as much secrecy.

It is their secrecy that is the reason for so little being known about them. They are hardly ever spoken about in the open forum, and officially are non-existent, or the activities taking place within their quarters are far from what is officially deemed.

The following are general claims about what is going on in these other facilities, but as they are generally secret these are largely speculative comments that need to be taken with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, they are alluring and intriguing to our curious human minds. Whether authentic or not, they do bed the question of but what if…?.

Most Expensive Secret Bases

Here is a list of 10 alleged top-secret bases that do not exist (officially, that is).

1. Base AL/499 Secret Bases

Base AL-499 - Top Secret Bases That Officially Dont Exist

Most of what people believe they know about Base AL/499 comes from James Casbolt, an alleged whistleblower. Casbolt claims that the base exists 200 ft (60 meters) below a small village in the Berkshire countryside of England, which is one that his family has direct connections to. He has issued claims that he was born into connections with high-ranking secret intelligence and the Illuminati. He claims that they operate out of this underground facility in something he dubbed Project Mannequin.

What is this secret project? According to Casbolt, there are two unnerving parts to the activities deep below the village grounds. The primary one is a type of cloning operation that is developing super-solders, and the other is an MKULTRA-type mind control experiment training a variety of lethal assassins (some of whom are unaware of such training).

Further, he claimed that while the particular base operates from the UK, there are similar operations overseen by the NSA going on in the US too. Casbolt further insinuated that through his family connections he was able to enter the program through which he was a member of a highly-skilled and Illuminati-operated team of assassins. He said that many of the members of this assassin crew were kidnapped civilians who were guinea pigs to the secret program, however.

2. Camp 13 Secret Bases

Camp 13 - Top Secret Bases That Officially Dont Exist

A recent Listverse article hailed claims of the Kalahari Incident, where, allegedly, a downed UFO with several extraterrestrial beings on board, was recovered by the South African military, before being turned over to American counterparts, but with only two of the aliens. The third, it was said, was kept in the custody of the South African military and held at a top-secret facility in the country.

Had this account been factual, the secret South African base would have been just as concerning as the downed alien ship it claimed to possess. Supposedly, this secret base, dubbed Camp 13, resides at some Kalahari Deser location, though the actual coordinates aren’t known. Besides keeping aliens on the premises, it is generally also rumored to be using high-tech laser weapons testing.

Those surprised by South Africa hosting such a base would be intrigued to know that South African UFO sightings are not uncommon, and have, in fact, become more numerous recently, as have the rumors of the existence of bases such as Camp 13.

3. Top Secret UFO Response Team In Wales

Top Secret UFO Response Team Based In Wales - Top Secret Bases That Officially Dont Exist

Journalist Derrick Gough claimed that since the 1980s there has been a joint effort between the US and UK governments to operate a top-secret program based in the Brecon Beacons mountains in Wales. The operations at the base, he claimed, were working to recover mutilated human bodies that were believed to have been the results of abduction and experimentation by extraterrestrial beings.

Gough realized how serious the nature of his claims provided to him by his military whistle-blower source was after he contacted the police with the information. What followed was a litany of threatening phone calls, and a fire breaking out in his office. He passed the information he had to Tony Dodd, a UFO researcher. Dodd contacted Gough’s source and publicized the incident in his 1999 book Alien Investigations.

Dodd’s further research uncovered that the secret base and the response team operating from it was a joint venture between the US and the UK, then spearheaded by Ronald Reagan and Margarett Thatcher. The response team could be called upon at any hour, unexpectedly, and dispatched to various places. They would receive warnings of UFO incomings and the recovery of their horrendous cargo. They discovered bodies that were badly mutilated, hiding them from the public’s eye in a sealed-off area, keeping the operation out of the way of any prying eyes.

4. Alien Base Off The Icelandic Coast Secret Bases

The claims by Tony Dodd were not exclusive to Wales. He also reported that there was increased UFO activity near Iceland’s coast, and the degree to which he alleged there to be of it led him to believe that there was an operational secret alien base. He believed that it was receiving unwitting protection from NATO, and possibly its cooperation.

Dodd’s sources included ones from the Navy itself, as well as Icelandic fishing community members who were often the only other parties permitted to be in the vicinity of the NATO and US vessels in the area. Most of the witnesses reported low-flying UFOs entering the mountainous landscape and some entering the sea.

Dodd’s Navy source claimed that the approach of the UFOs was tracked and measures were taken to ensure an interrupted and unobstructed passage for them to their destination. The source also claimed that the last time it happened he was on the ship to witness it. Once the alien crafts entered the water they would be tracked and further monitored, with the waters being devoid of any other maritime traffic, allowing the ships to have safe arrival upon their landing.

5. Base Network Under Denver International Airport Secret Bases

Network Of Bases Under Denver International Airport - Top Secret Bases That Officially Dont Exist

While those who built it would deny its existence, for at least 2 decades there have been conspiracy theories about a network of bases located under the Denver International Airport since its apparent construction in 1995. In fact, those same theories claim that this isn’t the only location of these bases. The facility is also claimed to have various Illuminati-type symbols throughout, and the design is constructed in a strange and highly disorienting fashion.

The construction costs rose from $1.7 billion to over $5 billion, as the airport’s original layout was scrapped and buried. In all likelihood, this is where a great number of conspiracy theories originated from. But rumors continue to be rampant about baby-eating alien beings that wield control over the workforce of humans and high-ranking military officials in the US and have continued to amplify throughout the conspiracy theory community.

Phil Scheider, a now-deceased former whistle-blower, and researcher Alex Christopher claimed to have received access to the underground facility. They claimed that human laborers operating within were directed by reptilian aliens (lizard people) that are the real parties of control over both the US military and government. They continuously claimed that other subterranean bases exist of this nature around the United States.

The base below Denver International Airport allegedly hosts various production lines and experimentation zones, as well as an especially protected area for the world’s elites, with the British royal family among them, who will be able to use the facility when the “change” being prepared by the alien forces finally takes effect.

6. The Secret Base Under Rendlesham Forest Secret Bases

Secret Base Under Rendlesham Forest - Top Secret Bases That Officially Dont Exist

The famous Rendlesham Forest UFO incident in the winter of 1980 has been prominently talked about for some time, but what many may not be aware of is the presence of a supposed complex located underneath the former US military bases of Bentwaters and Woodbridge. If the sources are to be believed, these bases contain technology light years beyond that of where even the most advanced tech is currently.

Daniel Simpson, the director of the 2014 horror film The Rendlesham UFO Incident (also known as Hangar 10) interviewed a firm owner who was renting some privately owned space for his business. He informed Simpson that when they were setting up their internet connectivity, engineers found cables that dated back to the early 1980s. If that wasn’t strange enough, the frustration continued when it was realized that the tech appeared to be quite a bit more advanced than what was in contemporary usage.

Simpson also made some curious and accidental discoveries including odd hatches throughout random points in the forests. When some of the lids were pried open, long ladders appeared to descend into the darkness underneath. Local officials assured him that those hatches were just a drainage system, but Simpson was not sold on that explanation.

The hatches were purposefully hidden and their positioning seemed to be very elaborate. Simpson later reached out to locals in the area who believed that the hatches were access points still used as points of access to the secret base underneath the forest grounds.

The UFO community also didn’t miss the fact that in 2011 some of the files stored in the National Archive relating to the forest incident had gone missing. This certainly piqued the interest of conspiracy theorists and UFO enthusiasts.

7. The Black Pyramid Of Alaska Secret Bases

The Black Pyramid Of Alaska - Top Secret Bases That Officially Dont Exist

Alaskan terrain is fascinating, but it is also entirely unforgiving. One of the most peculiar and intriguing aspects of the region is the rumor that buried deep beneath the surface is a black pyramid from ancient times. This first came out when Anchorage’s channel 13 aired a report in 1992 on scientists conducting experiments related to recording seismic activity who was believed to have accidentally discovered a pyramidic structure about 50 miles (80 km) from Mount McKinley (modern-day Denali).

The story stayed relatively quiet until in 2012 a now-retired former military member contacted Linda Moulton Howe, a journalist, and UFO researcher, with information about a particular find. The claim was that this pyramid was built thousands of years in the past to harness the planet’s natural powers.

When Howe broke the story to the public, more people claiming to have been involved or directly related to someone who was involved with the Black Pyramid began to surface. A man named Bruce L. Pearson claimed that the pyramid was not made by humans, but was currently being used as a study of harnessing natural powers at the base near it. Some anonymous witnesses even claimed that their father worked on the dark pyramid and assisted in powering the ancient structure’s electrical system.

8. The Protected Area Of The Ross Sea Secret Bases

The Protected Area Of The Ross Sea - Top Secret Bases That Officially Dont Exist

The agreement to make 1.5 square kilometers of the Ross Sea protected in October 2016 seemed like a good idea. It would stop commercial fishing in the area, allowing wildlife to thrive in the region. But that also made the area fully off-limits to anyone without exclusive permissions to be there.

Many conspiracy heads saw this as an obvious ruse to cover secret operations going on in the Ross Sea bases. There have even been claims about secret wars ongoing between aliens and a top-secret multinational human response team. Attention to this Ross Sea sectioning off were heightened when reports appeared of a UFO crash in Antarctica. No defining tracks were marked on ground level, which conspiracy enthusiasts interpreted as signs of a flying vehicle that some believed was captured by Google Earth.

9. Base 211 Secret Bases

Base 211 - Top Secret Bases That Officially Dont Exist

The Third Reich ventured into Antarctica in 1938 with an offered reason of securing the whaling industry for Germany. But conspiracy theories were plentiful over the decades that followed insinuating that the real purpose of the effort was to secure contact with beings from Inner Earth local to the region. This location and supposed mission resulted in the operational institution dubbed Base 211.

While history tells us that Hitler took his own life in a German bunker while in hiding during Germany’s WWII defeat, conspiracy theorists claim that he actually escaped to Base 211 in the war’s final days, then traveled to South America after lying low for a period of time, and lived out his natural life until well into the 1980s.

This stems from the commonly known belief that Nazis considered themselves a superior race, but also the descendants of a chosen alien race that resided in the world’s southernmost continent. The propaganda machine has been working overtime to continue to promote these beliefs.

10. Admiral Byrd’s Claims

Admiral Richard Byrd issued one of the original and most well-known claims about the existence of a secret base way back in 1947. He claimed that while he was flying over the North Pole, he identified an entrance to the Inner Earth. He claimed that this led him beyond the icy sea to a region inhabited by alien beings which were in the form of a base filled with green, lush vegetation.

He was not shy about sharing his encounter, telling anyone who would lend him a listening ear about the beings who reside under the North Pole could cover the distance from there to the Earth’s other pole at tremendous speeds, even going so far as to host a press conference on the subject.

The US military quickly hospitalized Admiral Byrd, and forced him to be banned from any further press conferences. But there is one interesting point Byrd made in his claims, and that is seeing a craft decorated with the swastika symbol. Perhaps he stumbled upon the other entrance to the secret Nazi Base 211 transporting themselves underneath the Earth establishing a collective underneath the surface of the planet.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, many alleged secret bases officially don’t exist but have been the subject of conspiracy theories and urban legends. From Area 51 to the Dulce Base, these locations have captured the public’s imagination and sparked curiosity about what goes on behind closed doors. Whether or not these bases truly exist and their purpose may remain a mystery.
